Transit-Oriented Development in a Gentrifying Bay Area | Graduate Capstone Research Project
September 2024 - August 2025 / Berkeley, CA
Researched the relationship between transit-oriented development (TOD), gentrification, and commuting in the San Francisco Bay Area. Analyzed Census data using Python, evaluating effects on regional mode shifts and equity implications for regional housing and transportation policy.
Oakland Slip Lanes Safety Report | Graduate Planning Studio with the Oakland Department of Transportation
May - December 2024 / Berkeley, CA
Led citywide intersection and pedestrian safety analysis integrating collision data, GIS mapping, and field observations to evaluate multimodal access and safety needs.
Developed a policy framework and design toolkit to guide street redesigns and capital planning, supporting implementation of Complete Streets and Vision Zero principles.

Facilitated 12 stakeholder interviews with property owners and tenants, synthesizing findings to highlight financial, social, and regulatory barriers to program participation.

Led a website redesign for a Bay Area advocacy group, translating complex transportation, land use, and housing policy guidance into clear, accessible public-facing resources.

Analyst & Researcher at BlueCottage of CannonDesign

Clients included California’s Department of General Services, Los Angeles County, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and The University of Chicago Medicine.
Conducted primary and secondary research (interviews, focus groups, surveys) with patients and physicians at the University of Chicago while working across an integrated team of architects, analysts, and consultants to develop a patient experience strategy playbook for a brand new cancer facility.
Facilitated 12 in-depth interviews with Los Angeles County agencies and local developers to understand pain points in the County’s permitting and entitlement process; developed operational, technological, spatial, and communication-based solutions to improve customer experience.
Conducted 20+ focus groups and surveys of 2,000+ employees to gather data about their work styles, remote work experience, and environmental, cultural, and operational workplace needs. Synthesized and presented findings to design teams and client leaders to inform decisions about employee experience, real estate, and workspace design.
Led an internal project to refine data gathering processes, standardize survey questions and templates, and integrate Qualtrics and other data visualization tools into existing project work.
Website Designer at California Bicycle Coalition
July 2020 - February 2021 / Remote
California’s only statewide bicycle advocacy organization. I scoped this volunteer project to redesign and improve user experience of the organization’s website.
Facilitated visioning sessions and interviews to understand organizational goals and key priorities for the site.
Conducted a heuristics evaluation, created site maps, and used Google Analytics to understand the site’s current hierarchy, identify key issues to solve, and restructure site navigation.
Created wireframes, prototypes, and layouts in Figma to test design ideas and finalize a single concept.
Worked with a software engineer to implement the new website layout.

Part of the Workplace Strategy and Real Estate Services team. Clients included LinkedIn, Uber, and UC Davis Health. Selected for Gensler’s award-winning Design Strategist Development program.
Facilitated 50+ stakeholder workshops and conducted surveys of 2,500+ participants to evaluate user experiences and inform workplace strategies and policies, design concepts, and space planning.
Planned and implemented building occupancy and space utilization studies across 10 facilities, including training and supervising 20 temporary staff, and ensuring data quality and consistency.
Analyzed occupancy, survey, and observational data and collaborated with architecture and design teams to integrate findings into workplace design and master planning projects.
Produced reports, visualizations, and presentations translating research findings into recommendations, and presented deliverables to executive leaders and cross-functional teams.
Developed standardized workflows, templates, and training materials that improved data collection methods, analytical consistency, and team efficiency.
Developed an 80-page change management playbook and a multi-channel communications plan, creating materials to guide 6,000 employees through workplace transitions, new policies, and updated procedures.

Facilitated 60+ in-person workshops and mentorship sessions with students and community partners, and delivered virtual design education to 1,300+ students.
Evaluated engagement through surveys and interviews to strengthen participation and programming.
